Threat is what the State proposes and threaten its own citizens with jail, violence and even death as its forms, if they don’t listen and obey . Sadly those who were threatened where not provided security by any organ of the state, when its only justification for any state’s existence remains to provide security to its own citizens than worry to protect them from outside threat.
Mysterious death of a hard core journalist Arshad Sharif whose life was under the threat from the very state whose war he was fighting to bring forth facts as opposed to fiction that the powerful prefer ‘in absolute disregard to the fact , that those empowered to be in authority are supposed to be in their selfless service both to the state and its ciefor which they take oath but when reminded by souls like Arshad that his voice is silenced leaving his old mother and children helplessly looking for the killers and their motives believe Arshad Sharif was on the right side of the state as patriotic Pakistani.
I don’t believe in conspiracy theories but something I can see clearly as a road in the day light is now a threat to the life of Imran Khan, the one the few accuse to be responsible for all the ills by trying to expose their own evil designs and faces with no interest with either the state or the 22 millions people who run it with their blood and sweat.
The tragedy that is unfortunately going to be unfolded is through one of the so – called terrorist who would prefer to blow himself up then reconcile to his fate of being trampled under the feet of the hungry mob in wait for a free flour of bag that their own internationally certified begging state today give them as a charity.
I don’t know much but Bilal Shiekh a die hard PPP worker is a case in point for those who can read between the lines. Bilal Shiekh, as a political worker was arrested many times in the past and once PPP was in power that he became the trusted security guard. Later after the mysterious assassination of Mohtarama Benazir Bhutto that he himself was blown up by a suicide bomber at Guru Mandir in Karachi near the fruit stall from where he wanted to pick some fruits before going home. His murder left no trace like his leader’s own death the sin permanently self wasted by terrorism a weapon that works well in defence of the powerful against the defenceless.
Imran Khan may be a daredevil but the real devil of terrorism always out – maneuvers many self – styled geniuses, who put down their guard without realising death stalk them on every step. It is my humble suggestion to the PTI supremo to minimise his public appearance during the festivity of Eid an ideal opportunity for him to be taken by surprise by one of those he would never suspect will blown himself because the food insecurity that the state today imposed on its citizens makes everyone unsecured and death cheaper than a bag of flour.
