On the eve of Juma- Tul – Wada, the last Friday of Ramadan that I share this post on the filth of supposedly a civilised neighbourhood in Peshawar called ‘ The University Town’, that was shared with me by a family friend and a former senior Police officer Honourable Sadiq Kamal Khan.
These pictures made me got lost into deep thoughts to ruminate whether either as a nation or Muslims we have slightest regard to the civic sense about cleanliness that both our faith about hygiene teaches us for which we waste million of gallons of water for ablation to clean ourself before facing our Lord even more to wash or dishes and cloths and sadly most of the scare water resource wasted on washing our cars, yet we put up with living in the filth around us.
I am sure the famous British Prime Minister Winston Churchill would have a laugh in his grave to see the Chinar Road, a tree that so inspired him with it beauty that its sapling was taken to Europe and today is known as maple will be in such a pathetic condition in an Islamic Republic that got independence in the name of a religion that teaches cleanliness, yet its followers and all other civic agencies responsible for cleanliness notably Peshawar Development Authority and all the good Muslims who serve there would still put up with this filth despite being paid by the nation to maintain cleanliness.
No wonder such professional negligence makes us a laughable stock in the eyes of those nations, who rightly believe us to be beggars in every sphere of our lives. God Save Pakistan Pakistan In The hands Of Shirkers And The Shameless 🇵🇰
