A family friend informed me, ‘My daughter informs that there is some repair/maintenance work in progress at the site (courtesy of Asim Khan’s efforts). I have yet to see it.’
Later, another family friend captured these images from moving vehicles of the maintenance staff working under the powerful spotlight that illuminated this area, normally shrouded in darkness.
I don’t have enough words to thank all those who showed empathy and solidarity with the less privileged segment of society and ensured their safety and that of their families in the future.
The last video shared showed a biker with a black shoulder slung bag and his little son seated before him. It would have been a terrible sight if they had met with an accident at this very spot, which is now under repair to make it safer and prevent future accidents involving two-wheelers. It is these small gestures of empathy and thoughtfulness for the suffering of one’s countrymen that endear the Army to the nation. Thank you, Pak Army, for your quick response. Long Live Pakistan and its Valiant Defenders of the Nation and their Interests! 🇵🇰
