Taliban launch offensive on Punj Shair ; Afghan media

KABUL: Afghan media on Monday reported that Taliban have launched offensive on Punj Shair , an Afghan province currently under Masood forces.
According to the media reports, clashes between Taliban and Masood forces were continuing in Punj Shair province.

Earlier , Afghan media had claimed that US drone killed 10 civillains of two families including 5 children.

Following Afghan media reports on killing of 10 civillians in drone attack, US has announced to carry out investigations into the case

Its up to US to conduct invstigations in recent drone attack in Afghanistan case, but the Afghan media reports have established that US systen of intellegence is full of flaws and shortcoming.

US had carried out drone attack in Afghan,which was the first in post Taluban era in Afghanistan, last week and claimed that it targetted Daesh terrorists to kill perpetrators of Kabul airport bombing that killed 160 people including 13 US troops. However, independent media reports had doubted US claims soon after the attack.

Taliban had strongly condemned the US drone attack and warned Washington to desist from such attacks in the future.

Meanwhile, Pentagon on Monday said it is watching the Afghan situation very closely. It said US can not stay obliviant to what was going on in Afghanistan.

The US statement of watching Afghan situation has come just 24 hour ahead to expiry of deadline of August 31, 2021 for evacuation of foreigners from Afghanistan. As the deadline creeps closer to the final deadline, the most of the countries including United Kingdom and United States have completed evacuation from Afghanistan.

Pakistan has played a key role in timely evacuation of foreigners from Afghanistan.
According to official statistics , Pakistan International Airline (PIA) airlifted 13000 foreigners from Kabul since commencement of evacuation of foreigners from there.
