Deadly bomb blasts in Mastung, Hango , dozens killed

In Mastung blast victims included DSP city Nawaz Gachkori. In Hango suicide bomber targeted worshippers at mosque . Condemnations pour in for targeting civilians

Quetta/ Peshawar: Sept 30 : Friday turned the most deadly day for Pakistan. In the morning , a bomb blast apparently suicidal attack hit a procession of Eid Milad here at AlFalah road in Mastung, leaving dozens dead and dozens others injured . In the afternoon , another suicide attack hit worshippers insides a mosque when they were offering Juma prayer which claimed at least 5 people ,besides injuring half a dozen others.

The victims of Mastung bomb blast included Deputy Suprentendent of Police (DSP) City , Nawaz Gachkori, who was guarding the procession with his other subordinate policemen. The dead bodies of the victims and injured were taken to Mastung Hospital . Gaus Bux Hospital administration confirmed deaths of 20 people in the blast. The provincial government has announced 3-day mourning after the attack.

Later talking to media Inspector General of Pakistan (IGP) Balochistan that Friday’s attack was the worst in recent years in which innocent civilians were targeted. He maintained that in the past Daesh had claimed responsibilities of attacks carried out in Mastung.

According to the media reports, a social media network having RAW connection has claimed responsibility of Friday’s attack in Mastung.

Caretaker prime minister , Anwaarul Haq Kakar, condemned the bomb attacks and vowed to chase down the terrorists and their facilitators.

Provincial Information minister, Jan Khan Achakzai, condemned the attack and said the coward terrorists targeted civilians when they were participating in Eid Milad procession . He said the government was providing every possible medical care for treatment of those who injured in the blast.

Federal Interior minister , Sarfraz Bugti, also condemned the attack on the participants of the Milad in Quetta . He said the terrorists do not have any religion or belief. He also spoke to the provincial authorities to get the initial information about the blast.

Pakistan People Party (PPP) chairman , Bilawal Bhutto , condemned the attack on procession in Quetta and demanded immediate arrest of the terrorists who targeted the civilians in the blast.
