Quetta: Sept 30 : Federal Interior minister , Sarfraz Bugti , on Saturday said Indian spy agency Research and Analysis Wing ( RAW) was invoked in Friday’s terrorist attack in Mastung in Balochistan .
The federal Interior minister speaking to the media in Quetta said ” We exactly know who is behind these deadly attacks carried out in Mastung to target a procession of Eid Milad and their perpetrators , facilitators and executors will be chased down till the end” .
The Interior minister added that all those who are involved in the attacks on the armed forces and civilians be they Daesh , TTP or any other groups will be treated equally to chase down and punish them.
He deplored that in the past the policy of appointment introduced for the terrorists when they had weakened provided them a new opportunity to regroup and attack on the armed forces of Pajistan . He said ” Unfortunately , in the past action was withheld against the terrorists when they had weakened. He announced that there will be no appeasement policy by the state towards the terrorists now onwards. His reference was towards Imran Khan’s rule when it allowed thousands of hardcore Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorists to return to Pakistan and settle down in different areas close to Afghanistan. The terrorists who returned as a concession given by Imran Khan’s rule reorganised themselves and they are now carrying out deadly attacks on the security.forces and targeting at Pakistan’s strategic assets .
Mr Bugti announced that the terrorists will be targeted in their dens and this policy will remain effective till complete end of the menace of terrorism.
Friday had turned the most deadly day for Pakistan. In the morning , a bomb blast apparently suicidal attack had hit a procession of Eid Milad here at AlFalah road in Mastung, leaving dozens dead and dozens others injured . In the afternoon , another suicide attack hit worshippers insides a mosque when they were offering Juma prayer which claimed at least 5 people ,besides injuring half a dozen others.
The victims of Mastung bomb blast included Deputy Suprentendent of Police (DSP) City , Nawaz Gachkori, who was guarding the procession with his other subordinate policemen. The dead bodies of the victims and injured were taken to Mastung Hospital . Gaus Bux Hospital administration confirmed deaths of 20 people in the blast. The provincial government has announced 3-day mourning after the attack.
Later talking to media Inspector General of Pakistan (IGP) Balochistan that Friday’s attack was the worst in recent years in which innocent civilians were targeted. He maintained that in the past Daesh had claimed responsibilities of attacks carried out in Mastung.
According to the media reports, a social media network having RAW connection has claimed responsibility of Friday’s attack in Mastung.
Caretaker prime minister , Anwaarul Haq Kakar, condemned the bomb attacks and vowed to chase down the terrorists and their facilitators.
Provincial Information minister, Jan Khan Achakzai, condemned the attack and said the coward terrorists targeted civilians when they were participating in Eid Milad procession . He said the government was providing every possible medical care for treatment of those who injured in the blast.
Pakistan People Party (PPP) chairman , Bilawal Bhutto , condemned the attack on procession in Quetta and demanded immediate arrest of the terrorists who targeted the civilians in the blast.
