Islamabad : Dec 15: The caretaker government on Friday passed on the benefit of lowering prices of brunt in the international market to the local commutes and reduced the petroleum product prices substantially .
The rate of petrol has been reduced by Rs 14 per litre for next 15 days. The New petrol price has been fixed at Rs
267.34 per litre. Likewise , the rate of High Speed Diesel (LSD) has been cut by Rs 13.50 a litre . Its new price per litre is fixed at Rs 276.21. Light Diesel Oil price goes down by Rs 11.29 per litre . Its new rate is fixed at Rs 164.64 per litre . Kerosin price has been reduced by Rs 10.14 and its new rate has been fixed at Rs 191.02 per litre. The new rates of petroleum products will remain affective till December 31.
The reduction in petroleum product prices will reduce the rates of edibles and other necessities and bring much needed relief to the people of Pakistan ahead of new elections in the country .
