Return of security lockdown in Rawalpindi , Islamabad again

Islamabad : As Iran makes some flexible offers for talks with the United States (US) , there is return of security lockdown in the federal capital Islamabad.

On Saturday , the police and law enforcement Agency’s (LEAs) personnel could be seen standing alert on the check posts at many places in the federal capital .

Islamabad highway that remained under lockdown for more than two weeks in the last month saw the same kind of security checks and extraordinary presence of the police and LEAs personnel.

Last month lockdown had added huge difficulties for the residents of twin cities as supply of essentials and building materials had come to a grinding halt . It also put the residents in extremely difficulty as the daily wagers were made to stay home for two weeks. Daily wagers live on day- to -day earning and the lockdown spanning over weeks simply means starvation for their families and living without other essentials.

The lockdown of Islamabad and Rawalpindi will bring same kinds of problems for the residents . It can also damage the businesses in twin cities .

The decision -makers should understand that unnecessary or overdoing in the name of security to VVIPs will make the lives of the people of Rawalpindi and Islamabad . They instead testing the patience of the people , should stop traffic only during VVIP movements .
Pakistan rather than rushing for lockdown for showing great efforts for VVIP movements must listen from other countries.

Other countries also host talks on thorny issues , but they do not lockup their cities for it.

The international media on Saturday reported that Iran has made some flexible offers to US to woo it resume talks in Islamabad next week.

Pakistan , however , is tight lipped on it as its leadership do not want to speak on this very crucial issue prior to some workable agreement.
