In all honesty, the Greek Architect Doxiadis, who designed Islamabad would have big laugh in his grave to see the ingenuity of the officials of Capital Development Authority trying to cover up the biggest pollution by the plastic industry by befooling the residents by making a patch of road in the Capital with the recycled plastics, the biggest joke and riddle for the Civil Engineering World.
To further add illusion to this black smokescreen of pollution, the wise CDA officials behind this marvel of engineering have even painted the shoulders and centre in to this patch of road in green, as opposed to the usual white or yellow paint.
I sometimes think how obsessed CDA officials are with the green colour and honest both to themselves and the capital of Pakistan of which they are the sole custodians. I am sure the new Chairman CDA will ensure to correct many wrongs that have become the norm some due to political reasons others because of incompetence and mostly owing to personal interests.
