ISLAMABAD : Jan 9,2023: Finance minister senator Ishaq Dar, held a meeting with International Monetary Fund (IMF) Mission Chief to Pakistan, Mr. Nathan Porter, on the side lines of International Conference on ‘Climate Resilient Pakistan’ at Geneva on 9th Jan,2023.
According to a handout issued by the Finance ministry here on Monday the federal Finance minister discussed challenges to regional economies in the wake of climate change. The handout added the Finance minister reiterated the commitment to complete the Fund program.
Pakistan is looking forward to have dialogue with IMF mission for 9th review to secure release of next tranche of the Fund. IMF tranche of $ 1.12 billion will serve as a catalyst to help Pakistan overcome its financial woes.

Ishaq Dar held a separate meeting with President ISDB Mr. Muhammad Al- Jasser on the side lines of International Conference on ‘Climate Resilient Pakistan’ .
The Finance minister thanked him for providing support to Pakistan in its post flood rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts.
The Finance minister appreciated the WB for providing financial and technical support for managing the challenge posed by the floods in Pakistan.
