THATHA : May 2, 2023: In an alarming development, Sindh government has issued a threat alert fearing suicidal attacks/ bombings in different districts of the province particularly to target Chinese nationals working on different projects in Thatha and other cities.
The threat alert, a copy made available to NEWSMAN, was signed and issued by Deputy Superintendent Police Thatha on May 1, 2023.
The threat alert noted that a high level threat alert for imminent suicide attacks on Chinese nationals has been received from the intelligence agencies which cautioned that the recce of the subject targets has been completed in the last few days by terrorists.
The alert letter addressed to all concerned department said “ Forgoing in the view, its decided that the security of all Chinese establishment must be enhanced and placed on red alert.
It also added that unnecessary movement of Chinese nationals be curtailed and no movement of Chinese nationals without bullet proof vehicles be allowed. It also suggested that 3- tier security of Chinese establishment under the policy guidelines of CS/IGP Sindh be ensured. It has sought
prompt sharing of any suspect activity at any Chinese establishments.
