If the committee does not reach any conclusion, then the four names will be sent to the Election Commission. The Election Commission of Pakistan will be bound to select one of these four names within 2 days. This name must be accepted by all and the President of Pakistan will appoint this person as caretaker Prime Minister. That is, after the end of the term of the assembly, the caretaker prime minister will be elected in any case within 8 days. The same procedure is mentioned in Article 224 of the Constitution for the provincial supervisory setup. If it takes 8 days to elect caretaker prime minister after the end of the term of the assembly, then according to the constitution, the current prime minister will perform the duties during that time. The same method will be adopted at the provincial level as well.
