Washington, October 23, 2024: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb met with the World Bank-IMF Staff Association to discuss Pakistan’s ongoing stabilization efforts.
He highlighted the support provided by the IMF Extended Fund Facility in these initiatives.
During the meeting, Aurangzeb reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to sustaining economic growth through several key strategies. T
These include achieving fiscal consolidation, improving governance and management of state-owned enterprises (SOEs), reducing high energy costs in the power sector, and enhancing productivity and competitiveness by creating a more favorable business environment for the private sector.
