World saw Pakistan’s response to Afghan aggression : says Military spokesman

Rawalpindi : Pakistan’s military spokesman has said Afghan regime is a master proxy and other Indian-sponsored proxies were operating in Afghanistan under this master proxy to carry out terrorist activities in Pakistan.

In an emergency presser, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General , Ahmad Sharif Chaufhary, said here on Friday on Thursday night the Afghan master proxy (Taliban regime) in coordinations with the terrorist proxies sponsored by India attacked Pakistan’s 15 sectors in Chitral , Naughazai and others at 53 locations in Khyber Pukhtunkhaw (KPK) province.

Mr Chaudhary said Pakistan security forces had targeted 7 terrorist training camps in Afghanistan between February 21 and 22 and killed over 100 Indian- sponsored terrorists and in retaliation to Pakistan ‘s action against Afghanistan-based terrorists , Afghan regime which , he said, is undoubtedly the master proxy opened unprovoked attacks at 15 sectors and hit at 53 locations in Khyber Pukhtunkhaw (KPK) province.

ISPR chief said Pakistan’s armed forces were alert and ready to meet any challenge and they responded to Afghan forces ‘ aggression immediately and foiled the ‘master proxy’ and its protected terrorist organisations nefarious plans and caused them huge loss. ISPR denied social media and Afghan media claims and noted that Pakistani security forces operated very carefully to hit only the military installations and terrorists hideouts at 73 locations in Afghanistan and they killed 274 enemy’s soldiers , besides injuring 400 others. He said Pakistan’s air force also targeted identified locations in Kabul and five other provinces and destroyed military infrastructure and assets of Afghanistan. He said 12 Pakistani soldiers sacrificed their lives in the fight against Afghanistan.

The military spokesman said the world saw Pakistan’s response against Afghan proxies in the last 24:hours. He added that the Afghan regime has to make one option between Pakistan and terror organisations.

ISPR Director General presented slides and footage of damage caused by Pakistan forces in Afghanistan. Mr Chaudhary said Pakistan has a clear position on Afghan regime ‘s support to the terrorist outfits operating from its soil i. e either Kabul has to opt for Pakistan or Indian sponsored terrorist organisations.

In a related development, the military leadership briefed prime minister , Shahbaz Sharif, and his political aides on the operation ‘ Zarab e Haq” at the military headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.

On this occasion , prime minister gave a clear message to the Taliban regime that its anti Pakistan policies were unacceptable and Pakistan will treat any aggression from its soil with zero tolerance.
