ISLAMABAD: Prime minister, Imran Khan, has said Pakistan was a
promising destination for foreign investment and his government was committed to provide the best available condusive environment to the foreign investors, besides providing them the best possible facilities and incentives.
The prime minister gave these assurances to Tajik business community during his address to Pak- Tajik business forum held in Dusbambe , Tajikistan..
Imran Khan is on 2 -day official visit to Tajikistan with a high level delegstion. His delegation included Foreign minister, Shah Mahmood Qureshi,
Commerce minister, Razak Dawood and advisor on national security, Moed Yousuf,. The prime minister is also accompanied by prominent businessmen and industrialists of Pakistan for his visit to Tajikistan.
The prime minister assured Tajik business community that Pakistan has opened a number of sectors like Information Technology (IT), oil and gas, and infrastructure and many more for foreign investors. He asked Tajik business community to come and invest Pakistan and reap benefits of its liberal investment policies.
Imran Khan said “I invite you to come to Pakistan for investment and take unprecedented dividened of your investment”.
The prime minister also told Rajik business community that Pakistan has improved its ease of doing business and it would help foreign investors get good dividened on their investment.
Imran Khan also presented details of tripartite Railyway project to enhance trade with the Central Asian Republics (CARs). He said Pakistan attaches great significance to further improve bilateral ties with CARs. He said Tajikistan and Pakistan have great potential to multiply bilateral trade and for making this idea into ra eality, the business community of the two countries should have better understanding and approach. The prime minster also offered to provide shortest route to CARs to access to its ports.
The prime minister also spoke at lenght on Afghan situation. He called upon the international community to move without any delay to tackle Afghanistan situation. He said Pakistan and Tajikistan will make joint efforts to set -up peace in war – torn Afghanistan.
