ISLAMABAD: Bad mouthing of a Pakistan Television (PTV) anchor , Dr Noman Niaz , with Pakistan’s cricket legend , Shoab Akhtar, has shocked the nation .
In a live show, attended by more than half a dozen cricket experts , PTV’s anchor, known for his bad mouthing in the organisation, can be seen humiliating the cricket legend and asking him to leave the show when it was going on air. This is too much that an anchor of PTV who was supposed to deal with the guests curtiously behaves in the most derogatory manner. The national electronic media took the incident with a shock and reported it in all main news bulletins.
Dr Noman Niaz , a PTV anchor and host of sports show, is known for his bad behaviour in the state media outlet. His verbal assault on Shoab Akhtar is its latest example. A tailor master had lodged a complaint with the PTV management against the same anchor in the past for not paying him labour of suits tailored for him. Similiarly, many employees of PTV avoid to face Dr Noman Niaz in the organisation due to his bad behaviour.
Soon after the incident, social media flooded with criticism on Dr Noman Niaz’s behaviour. The social media users called Dr Noman Niaz’s rude and objectionable behaviour with the cricket legend as unaçceptable. They demanded ban on Dr Noman Niaz on PTV for his bad behaviour.
With airing the news by private channels, PTV management on Wednesday constituted an inquiry committee to probe the incident of bad mouthing of the anchor with Shoab Akhtar.
Meanwhile, federal minister, Mr Zaidi , has strongly condemned the rude behaviour with cricket legend , Shoab Akhtar , and demanded full scale inquiry into the incident.
