ISLAMABAD: A delegation of Mandi Bahauddin Chamber of Commerce and Industry called on Honourable Mr Justice Javed Iqbal, Chairman National Accountability Bureau.
National Accountability Bureau Chairman Justice Javed Iqbal has said that the business community is the backbone of the country’s development and prosperity.
NAB is a business friendly organisation which gives priority to resolving the issues of business community.
The delegation of Mandi Bahauddin Chamber of Commerce and Industry appreciated the efforts of NAB to make the country corruption free.
According to a NAB statement, a 7-member delegation of Mandi Bahauddin Chamber of Commerce and Industry led by its President Syed Raza Haider Naqvi met Chairman National Accountability Bureau Justice Javed Iqbal at NAB headquarters.
The Chairman NAB said that NAB has great regard for the business community which is playing an important role in the country’s progress.
NAB is a business friendly organization which gives top priority to solving the problems of the business community.The NAB has referred the cases of income tax, sales tax and under invoicing to Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), he said.
The Chairman NAB said that he met with the representatives of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Karachi, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry and business community representatives have appreciated the efforts of NAB for resolution of their problems.
The Chairman NAB said that no initiative of NAB has created difficulties for the business community before and will not happen now as NAB always believes in performing its duties in accordance with the Constitution and law.
The Chairman NAB said that after assuming the responsibilities of his office, he decided to personally listen to the grievances of the people across the country on last Thursday of every month.
NAB has established a Special Cell at NAB headquarters, Islamabad, headed by director for resolving the complaints of the business community.NAB has also set up special cells at regional offices for promptly resolving the complaints of business community.

development of Pakistan, with dedication and honesty as per law.
He urged business community to devote all their energies to the development and prosperity of the country’s economy without caring about baseless propaganda as prosperity of business community is linked with the development of the country.
He said that NAB had not only recovered Rs.539 billion directly and indirectly in the last four years but also handed over thousands of victims of housing societies to other government and non-government organizations for which they thanked NAB.
The delegation of Mandi Bahauddin Chamber of Commerce and Industries led by President Syed Raza Haider Naqvi not only appreciated the excellent performance of NAB under the leadership of Chairman NAB Justice Javed Iqbal but also expressed full confidence in the leadership of Chairman NAB. The delegation also reiterated full cooperation in the identification of corrupt elements.
He said that the chamber had appreciated the last four year recovery of NAB and timely return of the looted money to the affected families.
The delegation highlighted various issues including alleged corrupt elements / occupation mafia.
The chairman NAB assured the delegation that NAB would look into their issues in accordance with the Constitution and law.
The chairman NAB directed the special cell established at NAB headquarters for resolving business community Issues to do maximum for resolving the issues of business community.
The delegation invited Chairman NAB to visit Mandi Bahauddin Chamber. The chairman NAB Justice Javed Iqbal accepted the invitation of visiting Mandi Bahauddin Chamber.
