Amin Aslam , several others quit PTI over May 9 violence

ISLAMABAD : May 18,2023. Many more Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) leaders on Thursday disassociated themselves from the party over May 9 attacks on military installations.

At least one dozen former PTI parliamentarians hailing from southern Punjab disowned PTI politics of violence and announced disassociation with Imran’s party at a press conference.

In Islamabad PTI senior leader and former advisor to then prime minister Imran Khan , Malik Amin Aslam, announced its disassociation with PTI at a press conference. Malik Amin Aslam announced to quit PTI here at a press conference . Malik Amin Aslam said he can not be a part of PTI which attacked on the military installations on May 9.

PTI also suffered a blow in Sjndh when its member in Sindh assembly, Imran Shah , called incidents of May 9 as act of terrorism and announced to resign from basic membership of PTI and as a Sindh assembly over these incidents.

Meanwhile , Aqeel Karim Dadi , a pro Imran businessman of Karachi , strongly condemned the violence committed by PTI workers on May 9. He urged upon Pakistanis not to become part of any anti state politics . Mr Aqeel Karim Dadi demanded from PTI chairman , Imran Khan , to condemn violent protests committed by PTI workers on May 9.

President Dr Arif Alvi , also express serious concern over the incidents of May 9 and demanded of PTI chairman , Imran Khan , to openly condemn these incidents.
