ISLAMABAD: September 22, 2022: The United Nations ambassador on refugees and Holly wood actress, Angelina Jolie , has warned of the world that the flood survivors in Pakistan may die if they do not get food, shelter and medial care to get protected from pandemics breaking out in affected areas .
She spoke her heart out at after a briefing given to her by Flood Relief Committee here. Ahsin Iqbal briefed the UN ambassador on devastation caused by the floods in Pakistan last month.
Angelia Jolie gave her eyewitness views on the survivors and difficulties being faced by them in post flood situation. Angelina Jolie said she had visited different flood affected areas in Pakistan during her 2-day visit and found that the survivors were facing the worse times of human history . She said those who have survived from the deadly floods in Pakistan were in urgent need of food, medicines and shelter. Angelina Jolie said she never saw such a devastation in her life that was done in Pakistan by the recent floods. The UN ambassador noted that the world should move quickly and help Pakistan to provide aid to flood survivors who are in millions.
Angelina Jolie appreciated the relief efforts of Pakistan army and said she saw the army in affected areas doing a great job for rescuing the people from flood hit areas and providing them all necessary help for immediate relief.
Angelina Jolie said she would go back and tell the world to help Pakistan so that it could protect the lives of those who are facing threat to their lives .She added that she is friend of Pakistan and its people and will keep visiting them as long as they are in trouble . Angelina Jolie also acknowledged the hospitality accorded to her by Pakistani people.
Angelina Jolie has come to Pakistan a few days ago to see herself the damage caused by flood waters and the needs of those who have survived of the disaster.
Angelina Jolie rushes to Pakistan when ever it faces some natural disaster. She came to Pakistan in 2005 w hen Pakistan witnessed worst earthquake of its history . She did a great job to generate funds from international community to help Pakistan rehabilitate earthquake affectees. She again came to Pakistan in 2010 to see damage caused by the flood 12 years ago. Now she is again in Pakistan when over 30 million its people are submerged in flood waters and majority of them are struggle to survive.
