ISLAMABAD : July 4,2023: Finance minister , Ishaq Dar , has said the national assembly and two provincial assemblies of Sindh and Balochistan will stand dissolved on completion of their term on August 12 and prior to that the leader of the house (prime minister) and leader of the opposition in lower house will finalise the nomination of a care taker prime minister .
Mr Ishaq Dar gave this statement on Tuesday here . Its very important statement from the federal minister for Finance as it will clear the dust currently confusing the political scene of Pakistan.
Mr Ishaq Dar is not only a Finance minister. Rather , he is the most trusted man of Mian Nawaz Sharif who holds real political power to take any big decision regarding the general elections and other related issues.
Mr Ishaq Dar is always the first choice of Mian Nawaz Sharif when the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) comes into power to hold the office of the Finance minister in the centre.
After 18th amendments, the leader of the house and the leader of the opposition have authority to decide the nomination of the caretaker prime minister. In case they fail to reach a concensus the matter ultimately goes to the panel of the house. In recent past, Pakistan witnessed failure on the part of the prime minister and the opposition leader in reaching the consensus on the nomination of the caretaker prime minister. But since this time situation is different and there is no real opposition in the lower house , there is no chance of any stand-off on the nomination of the caretaker prime minister .
Since Mian Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari had held a number of rounds of negotiations last week in Dubai its presumed that they have reach to a consensus on the issue in question .Its also presumed that after some initial differences , Nawaz-Zardari huddle in Dubai has made the both leaders realise that delay in holding general elections was not a good option and instead they should come up with an open heart to accommodate each other’s party in next general elections .
Mr Ishaq Dar has also made a final word that Mian Nawaz Sharif is coming to Pakistan soon.
