ISLAMABAD : Prime minister , Shahbaz Sharif, on Saturday appointed Aushtar Ausaf Ali advocate as attorney general of Pakistan. The post of attorney general of Pakistan had fell vacant last month when the former attorney general, Khalid Khan , had declined to defend the act of the deputy speaker national assembly of calling the no confidence motion as illegal and rejecting it before the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) and resigned from his office. Aushtar Ausaf Ali is a renowned lawyer and he has served in the same capacity in Nawaz Sharif government between 2015-16. Aushtar Ausaf Ali, being a top quality professional, enjoys good reputation among legal fratalernity of Pakistan . He has served as deputy advocate general of Pakistan twice. Aushtar Ausaf Ali has also served as s special assistance to prime minister in Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) regime .
