Banking sector’s money making spree pushes dollar rates up illogically

KARACHI :. Nov 24,2022. US dollar maintained its gaining streak in interbank on Thursday.

In interbank , US currency moved up to Rs 223.90 from last day’s value of Rs 223.75.

In interbank US currency rates are going up on almost daily basis for the last over one week.

One cannot understand why the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) is not taking notice of continuous increase in US currency rates in interbank when its rates in open market were static for at least last 10 days.

In open marker , US dollar is static at Rs 228 75 . In sheer contrast to it , US currency rates are surging continuously in ok interbank.

The banks have turned into a monstrous mafia and they are dictating currency rates at their own. This un-managable mafia is on loose to make unlawful profit through currency exchange .
