Barrister Danyal Chaudhry inaugurates Sui gas pipeline in Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi: Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting, Barrister Danyal Chaudhry, on Friday inaugurated a newly completed Sui Gas pipeline in Chaklala Scheme-III, reaffirming the government’s commitment to public welfare and national integrity.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony, Barrister Danyal Chaudhry emphasized that no political figure or party stands above the state, asserting that any attempt to harm Pakistan’s dignity would not be tolerated. He stated that elements engaged in campaigns against the country, along with their facilitators, have been exposed and rejected by the public.

The Parliamentary Secretary highlighted the significance of the newly installed gas pipeline, describing it as a major step toward improving basic utilities for residents of the area. He noted that access to essential services such as natural gas is a fundamental right, and the government is actively working to ensure these facilities reach every household.

Barrister Danyal pointed out that despite a challenging global energy landscape, the government led by Shehbaz Sharif is taking effective and timely measures to provide maximum relief to citizens. He explained that rising geopolitical tensions involving Iran, Israel, and the United States have intensified the global gas and electricity crisis. These developments, he said, have disrupted supply chains and driven up energy prices worldwide.
“Despite these challenges, Pakistan has adopted a comprehensive and prudent strategy to mitigate the impact of the global energy crisis,” he stated. “The government is focused on stabilizing supply while minimizing the burden on the common citizen.

He further underscored Pakistan’s growing diplomatic role in international affairs, particularly in the Middle East. According to Barrister Danyal, the country’s efforts as a mediator have been widely recognized and appreciated by the global community. He credited both Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff Syed Asim Munir for strengthening Pakistan’s diplomatic standing and enhancing its global image.
He added that Pakistan’s recent diplomatic successes have unsettled its regional rivals, particularly India. “Indian media is now openly criticizing its own government, reflecting the growing discomfort over Pakistan’s positive international engagement,” he remarked.

During his speech, Barrister Danyal also expressed concern over what he described as an unfortunate incident in Geneva, where remarks made by the son of the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf allegedly damaged Pakistan’s global reputation. He criticized the party’s stance on economic matters, noting that it had previously opposed assistance from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), while now attempting to undermine Pakistan’s GSP Plus Status.
“These actions are clearly against the national interest and do not reflect the aspirations of the Pakistani people,” he said.

Reiterating the government’s development agenda, Barrister Danyal assured that public welfare remains the top priority. He stated that the provision of basic amenities, including gas, electricity, and water, is being ensured at the grassroots level. He emphasized that all development projects are being executed with strict adherence to timelines and quality standards.
“No negligence or unnecessary delay will be tolerated,” he asserted. “We are personally overseeing projects in our constituencies to ensure that their benefits directly reach the people.”

The inauguration ceremony was attended by local elders, community representatives, and residents of Chaklala Scheme-III, who welcomed the completion of the gas pipeline project. Many described it as a long-awaited development that would significantly improve their daily lives.
Residents expressed satisfaction over the government’s responsiveness to their needs, noting that the provision of Sui Gas would reduce their reliance on alternative and often expensive fuel sources. They also appreciated the timely completion of the project and called for continued attention to infrastructure development in the area.
The event concluded with a renewed commitment from government officials to accelerate development initiatives and ensure equitable distribution of resources across all regions.
