Jeddah .april 26.2024 : An official source from the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia has warned pilgrims abroad wishing to perform the Hajj rituals to beware of fake Hajj companies during the Hajj this year 1445/2024 as Hajj is only permitted with a visa. It will be given to the holders. Ministry of Hajj clarified that some fake Hajj companies advertise their services through social media sites in various countries. However, pilgrims should differentiate between fake Hajj tour operators and real ones while registering for Hajj. The statement said that self-registration for Hajj can only be done by obtaining a visa from authorized companies and the ‘Nasak Hajj’ platform. Sources said the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has identified fake accounts on social networks as well as advertisements of companies and campaigns that claim to organize Hajj at attractive prices. Caution is advised against dealing with such campaigns and companies.
