Capital remained blocked for second consecutive day  

ISLAMABAD:  The federal capital remained blocked for second consecutive day on Monday due to sit in of a right wing party …Tehreekp-e-Labaik Pakistan (TLP).

The mobile service in Islamabad also remained suspended for the second day that disrupted communication in twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

TLP had given a call and started sit in at Faizabad.. the junction of twin cities …Islamabad and Rawalpindi.. against remarks of French president, Macron, which the Muslims across the globe take  as extremely insulting to Islam.

In Pakistan, the people are protesting against French president’s remarks for the last couple of weeks.

Now TLP had launched a countrywide protest against Macron’s remarks and given a call for sit in for indefinite period In Islamabad,

TCP had also given a sit in at the same entry point of Islamabad in 2018 and blocked the twin cities for many days. That time it wanted dismissal of PMLN government accusing some of its ministers of having uttered anti-religious remarks in some public rallies. That sit in had ended-up after a weeklong protest.

TLP is again active for protest in the federal capital after around two years gap. This time it’s protesting against French president’s objectionable remarks. TLP leadership is demanding of the government to expel French ambassador from Pakistan in protest against remarks of Macron.

The sit in at entry point had again put the people of twin cities in trouble. The people are not allowed to enter or leave Islamabad through Faizabad which is a main entry point to connect the federal capital with the rest of the country. The residents of the twin cities also remained disconnected from the other parts of the country due to suspension of mobile service in Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
