China and Pakistani Companies Sign $40 Million Deals

At the TEXPO exhibition, they agreed to collaborate in the textile sector

Karachi: At the Texpo 2024 exhibition in Karachi on Thursday, the Chinese company Hunan Dongxin Textiles Ltd. and the Pakistani company Keywin Trading Ltd. signed agreements, including a memorandum of understanding (MoU) worth $40 million for textile industry collaboration.

To promote Pakistan’s textile and leather industries, the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) organized the fifth International Textile and Leather Exhibition, held at the Expo Centre Karachi from October 23 to 25.

Sajjad Mazahir, General Manager of China Operations at Keywin Trading Ltd., informed China Economic Net (CEN) that the Chinese company and its Pakistani textile suppliers signed a one-year Memorandum of Understanding and agreements totaling $40 million.

Sajjad Mazahir of Keywin Trading, Wang Jun of Hunan Dongxin, and their suppliers Gadoon Textile Mills and Mahmood Textile Mills signed the agreements.

“There are about 250 companies showcasing their new collections and representing Pakistan’s diversity in textiles, denim, home textiles, knitwear, and the leather industry,” Mazahir said.

Wang thanked the Pakistani embassy and TDAP for organizing their visits this year and thanked the Hall 3 and Hall 4 product exhibitors after the event. More than 600 foreign visitors were invited to participate in Texpo’s events and activities, and thirty were Chinese visitors from different fields.
