Fake media campaigns fell flat: gold continue to lose ground

ISLAMABAD: Even unprecedented fake media campaigns have not given any support to stop steep drop of gold prices.in the local as well as global market.

The price of one tola gold on Wednesday fell down to Rs 102900 which at one point in time in local market had touched highest level of Ra 130, 000 a tola in 2020.

Since breakout of Covid-19 in December 2019, a massive media campaign was underway in the media to create an impression that gold was not losing its ground and loss in its value was a temperary phenomenon.

A number of local.and global media houses remained busy in giving support against the facts and create an impression that gold can rebound any time to go back to a new height.

Gold industry hired many experts to promote their views in print and electronic media. These experts produced fake assessmens time and again to slow down the process of losing its ground. The basic job of these experts was misguiding the people.

Even social media could not resist to hired experts and they kept on working for gold industry. You can see almost all social media forums busy in promoting the point of view of the gold industry.

It appears gold may not get lost ground in the near future .
