ISLAMABAD: May 10, 2024: The Federal Investigation Authority (FIA) Anti Corruption Circle Islamabad has arrested another member of the gang involved in sale of spurious drugs. According to an FIA spokesperson Anti Corruption Circle Islamabad team conducted a raid in Islamabad to arrest the accused Saqib Elahi in the case of selling spurious drugs in the federal capital Islamabad. The spokesperson added that on the complaints of various individuals , FIA team of Anti Corruption Islamabad had arrested two persons a few days ago who were allegedly involved in selling of spurious drugs in Islamabad. The arrested accused disclosed during the process of investigations that Saqib Elahi was also a part of their group and equally involved in selling of spurious drugs in the federal capital. On the information of the arrested accused the FIA Anti Corruption Islamabad formed a team to arrest the accused. According to the spokesperson, FIA team conducted a successful raid to arrest the accused from Islamabad on Friday.
The spokesperson added that FIA is continuing raids to arrest those who were involved in sale of spurious / unregistered drugs in the country. He further said no one will be allowed to risk the lives of innocent people of the country by selling fake/ unregistered drugs.
