You are under investigation in Kohistan's Rs 40 billion scam . FIA tells Azam Swati

Abbottabad: Former Senator Azam Khan Swati was stopped at Bacha Khan Airport in Peshawar while attempting to travel to Dubai, following ongoing notices from NAB (National Accountability Bureau) and the sealing of his house in Abbottabad. The action was taken in connection with his alleged involvement in a 40 billion rupee corruption case in Kohistan.

Airport authorities wrote a letter to the Deputy Director of the FIA (Federal Investigation Agency), and Azam Khan Swati was sent back from the airport. He had earlier been summoned by NAB but failed to appear. As a result, his residence in Abbottabad was sealed.

According to sources, Azam Khan Swati has been reaching out to influential figures in the provincial government and some contacts in Islamabad, reportedly seeking help to get out of this difficult situation. Sources also claimed that instead of flying from Islamabad, he quietly attempted to leave for Dubai from Peshawar, but was intercepted. A letter from authorities stated that Azam Swati is wanted by NAB, which led to his return home.

It has also been reported that a close friend of Swati advised him to travel to Dubai via sea, and he is now seriously considering this option in the coming days.
