ISLAMABAD; Founder Group (FG) won elections of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) here on Thursday.
According to final result announced by chief election commissioner, Chaudhary Abdul Ghaffar,, 16 candidates were in the run for Associate Class for 8 seats. All 8 candidates of Founder Group won in this category . Similiarly,, for Associate Class again 16 candidates were in the contest. For this category, Founder Group again remained cictorious as its all 8 candidates won in the contest.
For ICCI elections., Founder Group and United Group were in the contest. Founder Group kept its past record intact and won ICCI elections with landsliding victory.
The ICCI members showed unprecedented interest in casting their votes in the elections. A vast majority of the voters turned up for taking part in the election process.
After winning the elections, chairman Founder Group, Mian Akram Farid, in his victorious speech said. today Founder Group again proved that it was a real representstive of the traders and industrialists of the federal.capital. He said ICCI members have posed their trust in Founder Group and voted for its candidates which is a great moment for all leaders, voters and workers of the group. Mian Akram Farid assured the business community of Islamabad that Founder Group will uphold its all promises made in the elections and serve the business community with full commitment. He congratuled all winners of the elections and assured them that top leadership of Founder Group will guide and help them in running ICCI on modern lines.
Other speakers, Amir Waheed Shaikh, Zafar Bukhtawari, Ejaz Abbasi, Khalid Chaudhary also thanked ICCI voters for voting for candidates of Founder Group and assured the business community that new elected body of ICCI will utilise its entire efforts in promotion of businesses in the federal capital.
