KARACHI : Dec 8,2022: Gold spiked to the new highs setting yet another record in its price in domestic market in Pakistan on Thursday.
The rates of 24 karat per tola gold jumped up to Rs 166150 in domestic market , showing an increase of Rs 2450 during the last 24 hours.
In domestic market, gold rates for 24 karat were recorded at Rs 163700 on Wednesday. Likewise , the rates of 10 gram gold 24 karat increased to Rs 142450. It also showed an increase of Rs 2250 against its last day’s rates of Rs 140250. The rates of one ounce gold rose to Rs 14245 from its Wednesday’s rates of Rs 14045.
The gold per tola price of 22 karat was recorded at Rs 152303, 21 karat gold per tola rates were recorded at Rs 145381 and the rates of 18 karat gold per tola were recorded in Pakistan market at Rs 124616.
City wise price of gold rates in Pakistan also showed different between Rs 150 to Rs 300 per tola range.
In Karachi , 24 karat gold per tola rates on Thursday remained at Rs 166150. In Lahore per tola gold rates 24 karat were recorded at Rs 166200. In Islamabad and Rawalpindi per tola gold rates of 24 karat were recorded at Rs 166250. In Quetta and Peshawar , the rates of per tola gold were recorded at Rs 166350 and Rs 166300 reslectivelly.
Gold rates in Pakistan are on the rise for the last few days.
Jamil Mughal , owner of Mughal Jeweler in Rawalpindi, said the rise in gold price was a phenomenal as during this season (Nov-Dec) the buying of yellow metal increases due to higher demand .
Jamil Mughal said “We always witness increase in gold rates during wedding season (Nov-Dec) in Pakistan”. He added that yellow metal is a great attraction for the people of Pakistan and India and they buy it in a big way for wedding during peak months.
