Govt provocative policy sets to risk system

Raids at dissidents' houses , use of abusive language

ISLAMABAD : With raids at homes of dissident member national assembly and Sindh House in Islamabad Pakistan Tehreek – e – Insaf (PTI);government has set a stage which can lead to imposition of emergency or martial law in the country. Exactly at a time when on Friday instigated PTI workers were abusing and threatening the elected parliamentarians in day long protest in different cities across Pakistan, Information minister, Fawad Hussain Chaudhary , declared in an extremely dangerous mood in Islamabad that the similar shows of protest outside the house of those dissident member of the national assembly will continue in coming days. Fawad Hussain Chaudhary’s assertion is enough to establish that PTI government can opt for violence to avoid voting on no confidence motion.. Not only prime minister Imran Khan, or Information minister who is also spokesman of PTI government but other ministers and even spokespersons like Shahbaz Gul and elderly Interior minister, Shaikh Rashid Ahmad, are using highly provocative rather abusive language against those members national assembly who have expressed no trust in public against prime minister , Imran Khan. The prime minister himself leading his brigade to hurl threats on political opponents and those ruling party members parliament who want to vote in favour of no confidence motion. The scornful language used by Shahbaz Gul who is mouth piece of the PTI against dissent party member national assembly has made every Pakistani shameful. Can anyone think that a person who has no direct legitimacy in the political system can abuse openly in the media to a member of the national assembly. No only this , Islamabad Police Spokesperson on Friday issued a statement to the media, saying Shahbaz Gul took two MNAs and one dozen PTI workers from the police station who were arrested in connection with their role in attack on Sindh House on Friday.
The statement of Islamabad Police confirming illegal act of Shahbaz Gul of getting freed two PTI member national assembly and one dozen ruling party workers has raised many questions . One wonders as if Islamabad Police was so weak or impotent that it simply obeyed orders of a ruling party spokesman to free those who were arrested in Sindh House raid case. One can describe the statement of Islamabad Police of intervening of the ruling party spokesperson and taking away arrested over one dozen PTI party workers shameful . This aspect also indicates that the PTI government can go to ditch the system in Pakistan in its tussle with opposition . Protests of PTI workers outside its dissident parliamentarians is a clear indication that PTI will not hesitate in indulging in violence to create a situation which can subsequently lead to imposition of emergency or even martial law in the country.
