Govt sets Oct 31 deadline for illegal foreigners to quit Pakistan

Properties , other assets of illegal foreigners to be forefieted

ISLAMABAD : Oct 3 : Apex committee which met here with prime minister , Anwaarul Haq Kakar , in the chair on Tuesday has taken a number of far -reaching and every important decisions to make sure that the rule of law becomes supreme in the country.

The committee has set a deadline of Oct 31 to quit Pakistan for all those foreigners who are living in Pakistan without legal documents such as passports of the respective country and a valid visa.

According to the declaration of the apex committee , the state of Pakistan will take strict action against all those foreigners who will be staying in Pakistan after expiry of the deadline of October 31, 2023.

The declaration said the state of Pakistan will arrest all foreigners who will be staying in Pakistan after October 31. The committee also decided that after expiry of the deadline of October 31,2023 the properties and all other assets of illegal foreigners will be forfeited. It decided to take action against the facilitators and links of foreigners living in Pakistan illegally .
The apex committee also decided that the state will take action against those who will provide residence or rent out any property to illegal foreigners .

These actions will ensure departure of 1.3 million Afghans who are living in Pakistan for years without any legal status. Majority of these illegal Afghans is involved in criminal activities in Pakistan like kidnapping , murders , attacks on security and police personnel .

Pakistan was following a soft policy towards Afghans and they took its wrong advantage . Many Afghans were found involved in May 9 vandalism to destabilise Pakistan . Meanwhile , armed attacks on Pakistan’s armed forces from Afghanistan have forced Pakistan to follow a hard policy with respect to Afghans living in Pakistan .

The committee also decided that no group or organisation will be allowed to have armed activity in Pakistan and any group or organisations involved in any such activity will be dealt with iron hands.

The committee noted that the minorities will be provided full protection as given in the constitution of Pakistan. The committee expressed firm commitment to take stringent action against those who will be found involved in smuggling of the currency or ‘Hundi’.

The committee noted that power and gas thieves will be dealt with iron hands.The apex committee also decided to take stringent action against those who will propagate fake information to mislead the people .

The committee decided to implement three basic principles of Unity , Faith and Discipline . The committee ordered to ensure faith , Discipline and unity among all segments of the society.
