THATHA:Islamic Relief Pakistan organised a programme at Mukli gymkhana on December 31, 2020 in Thatha to highlight climate change issue and its impact on human life.
Focal person of Local government in her address stressed the need of registration of newborn babies. She said registration of the new born babies will help the government make long term planning to meet the future challenges.
Addressing the event, Fiza Shah, Khuda Bux Bharani, Akhtar Samoo, Aisha Chohan highlighted the climate change issue in detail and its dangerous impact on human life. They said the climate change was a serious issue and it enfolds many dangers for the society. They noted the climate change has created uncertainty in weather and its main victim are the farmers who are bracing the new challenges like untimely rains and storms. The farmers are incurring loss of billions due to unexpected changes, the speakers asserted.
Programme coordinator, Mashooq Rind, in his address said Islamic Relief Pakistan undertook major relief programme in Thatha durimg flood and helped thousands of families with much needed tents, medicines food and other essentials. He added Islamic Relief Pakistan also helped the needy during corona lockdown and provided ration, medicines to thousands of families.
