Jeddah April, 17.2024: Pakistan Journalists Forum has strongly condemned the statement of Imran Khan’s close associate, Sher Afzal Marwat, for making castigating l Saudi Arabia on a news channel. The forum said Shar Afzal acted for spoiling Pakistan’s relations with Saudi Arabia, when the latter announced investment and aid for the improvement of Pakistan’s economy. On this occasion, it noted the news channel deliberately used offensive language about Saudi Arabia Which is strongly condemned by every patriotic Pakistani. The forum in its statement said silence of the concerned institutions of Pakistan on such an anti-national news is a question mark. It said “If someone talks about anti-nationalism in talk shows and insults the friendly countries what does it mean?
While talking to Sher Afazl Marwat, anchorwomen repeatedly asked him the same question to Sher Afzal which showed that the channel wanted to advertise it on its own at a time when the most important delegations of Saudi Arabia was visiting Pakistan. It added the said channel deliberately aired this news and tried to please the enemy of such type friendly country. The forum said Pakistani journalists and the Pakistani community in Saudi Arabia have condemned the incompetence of Pakistan’s Ministry of Information. The forum said “We value Pakistan friendship of Saudi people and leadership of Saudi Arabia”.
Chairman of Pakistan Journalists Forum Amir Muhammad Khan, President Maruf Hussain, General Secretary Jameel Rathore, senior journalists Khalid Cheema, Asad Akram ,Muhammad Adeel, and other senior journalists participated in the meeting. In the meeting, PTI’s rebuttal statement was called as fake.
