JI announces countrywide protest against unemployment, pricehike

ISLAMABAD: Jaamat- e -Islami (JI) on Sunday announced to start countrywide protest against pricehike and unemployment .

JI Ameer senator, Sirajul Haq, announced schedule for rally and protest here at a press conference.

Sirajul Haq said JI will hold unemployment rally on July 2, 2021 and it will be followed by a countrywide protest against killing price hike on July 4, 2021.

“We have reached to a conclusion that the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) government is continuation of previous two failed governments each of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) and like its two predecessor rules it (PTI) is doing nothing for the people of Pakistan”,

Sirajul Haq said it’s high time to struggle against PTI government to pave way for coming in of a competent and real representative government to address serious issues like unemployment and pricehike confronted with the people.

JI ameer alleged that PTI has compromised on several key issues directly linked with security and solidarity of Pakistan like Kashmir and economic independence. He claimed that PTI government has sold out economic solidarity to International Monetary Fund (IMF) to get loans. He warned the government of serious resistance if it tried to sell out state owned assets to any foreign companies.

Sirajul Haq said JI will present its policy paper on reforms of election process on June 30, 2021. He demanded that the government ahould take all stakeholders on board before presenting its electional reforms plan before the parliament..

Sirajul Haq advised to the establishment to stay away from politics.

“All institutios including establishment should work within prescribed domain to address the issues confronted with the country presently”, Sirajul suggested.

JI ameer noted that 75 % people are directly affected by pricehike and unemployment and JI will go to the strees to force the government to do some serious work to help the people have jobs and tackle pricehike and unemployment.
