Thatha : July 30,2023: Federal minister for Water Resources , Khurshid Shah, has demanded probe in fault of design of K-4 mega project.
Syed Khurshid Shah made the demand of a holding thorough inquiry into the fault in design of K-4 project which faced inordinate delay and escalation in cost of hundreds of billions of rupee.
The federal minister expressed these views at a presser following his visit to K-4 project here on Sunday. Khurshid Shah said those all who are on the helm of the affairs are responsible of delay in execution of K-4 project .
Khurshid Shah was given a detailed presentation on K-4 project by the concerned officials of the Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA).
The minister claimed that K-4 project would benefit Pakistan’s all key sectors of the economy like agriculture , industrial and business sectors . He added that K-4 project would serve as a catalyst to ensure economic growth of Pakistan. According to the minister, K-4 project will cost Rs 126.40 and it will complete in October 2024. Syed Khurshid Shah said the government will dissolve national and two provincial assemblies of Sindh and Balochistan on August 9 and a caretaker setup will take over from August 10. He said the ruling alliance has discussed five names for a caretaker prime minister and final name will be disclosed at an appropriate time.
