LAHORE: Jan 11, 2023: Interior minister, Rana Sanaullah, on Wednesday said that Moonis Elahi, elder son of Chief minister Punjab, has fled from Pakistan in a private special aero plane with ill-gotton money. He claimed that Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) chairman , Imran Khan, was directly involved in money- making spree spearheaded by Moonis Elahi.
Speaking to media here , Rana Sanaullah said “ In Punjab Moonis Elahi and company had unleashed a money making spree and in just lost 20 days they had piled up Rs 100 billion per day”. He said Imran Khan and his cowboy Pervez Elahi were directly involved in rampant corruption in Punjab. Rana Sanaullah appealed to the court not to extend rule of dacoits in Punjab.
He said Moonis Elahi used his father’s official status to make money by getting approval of new Lahore plan. Moonis Elahi had left Pakistan in a private jet owned by a Pakistani property tycoon.
Moonis Elahi had been in the news since taking over of his father as chief minister Punjab some six months ago. The media was reporting his corruption scandals for months. He was being named as a brain behind revised master plan of Lahore.
According to some media reports, Moonis Elahi resisted dissolution of Punjab assembly san approval of revised Lahore plan . In some media report , it was clearly mentioned that Moonis Elahi was working for some big property tycoon for his personal and family gains through corrupt means, but he remained scot-free till he left Pakistan in a private special plane owned by a notorious property tycoon.
The federal Interior minister claimed that Moonis Elahi will never return to Pakistan as he sees end of rule of dacoits in Punjab soon.
Rana Sanaullah hit at Punjab Anti Corruption Department in his media talk. He claimed that the chief of Punjab Anti Corruption Department was acting as a loyal to Chaudhary Pervez Elahi and he remained unmoved despite unfolding of recent corruption stories in the media.
The same property tycoon had facilitated Farah Gogi in taking ill-gotton money out of Pakistan during last days of Imran Khan. Unfortunately, this property tycoon is untouchable in this country. None of the government anti corruption departments could ever investigate what was going out in private jet owned by this notorious property tycoon of Pakistan.
