Murree: Two senior officers of RawaIpindi district involved in registering fake case against local resident

MURREE: March 7, 2024: An additional and session judge Murree has granted relief to Mohammad Qasim Abbasi, a resident of village Awari , in a fake case filed against him by Sardar Aman Khan in connivance with Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi and Chief Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi. Sardar Aman allegedly tried to harass Mohammad Qasim Abbasi by filing an FIR against him for allegedly accusing him of making a bid to grab his piece of land in Awari village in Murree. NEWSMAN investigations confirmed that two senior officers of Rawalpindi district– the Deputy Commissioner and Chief Police Officer (CPO) have misused their authority and helped Sardar Aman to get registered a baseless case against the accused Mohammad Qasim Abbasi who is a known social worker in the local area of Awari village of Murree and a businessman in Islamabad. The FIR against Mohammad Qasim Abbasi was registered by the local police on December 19, 2023. Since the local police was under pressure from two senior officials of Rawalpindi district, no inquiry was conducted of the incident before registering the case against the accused. Reported events of the matter confirmed that the accused Mohammad Qasim Abassi was sitting in the office of the deputy police at the time when the incident was reported by the local police.

Since Sardar Aman had personal grudge against Mohammad Qasim Abasi and support from DC and DPO Rawalpindi, the police included a number of provisions of Criminal Code such as 452 , 447, 427, 511 , 596 II , 148 and 149 in FIR. The provisions added in FIR are self-explanatory and suggest the level of personal grudge of Sardar Aman against the accused– Mohammad Qasim Abbasi.
The accused Mohammad Qasim Abbasi challenged the FIR in the local court of additional district and session judge Murree to seek protection from high-handedness of the local police. The court raised many questions on the nature of FIR during the hearing of the case and sought proof from the learned DDPP in support of allegations made against the accused in the FIR . Since a concocted case has been made on the behest of senior officers of Rawalpindi district to implicate the accused in a fake case DDPP, Tahir Nazir Kayani, could not defend any of the allegations leveled in the FIR .
The additional district and session judge in his order said “ I have heard the arguments advanced by the learned counsel for the petitioners as well as learned DDPP for the state duly assisted by the learned counsel for the complainant , record perused and my observation are as under ; that IO remained failed to collect any direct evidence against the accused”.
The court also observed that all the arguments and observations made a case of malice against the accused/ petitioner –Mohammad Qasim Abbasi –and hence the petition for the bail of the accused/petitioner is accepted.
The court order has exposed bad intention involved in the case. On the same the learned court of additional district and session judge confirmed the bail plea of Mohammad Qasim Abbasi in the case.
