NAB team grilled the former first lady for two hours in Al-Qadir University linked £ 190 scam. After skipping over one dozen summons , Mrs Bushra Imran Khan appeared before the NAB on Monday. NAB investigators handed over an 11- point questionnaire asking her details of Al-Qadir Trust University.

She has been asked to explain who conceived the idea of Al-Qadir Trust University and how she became a trustee of the project . Mrs Bushra Imran Khan is also asked to explain her role in Al-Qadir Trust University .Mrs Bushra has to specifically explain if she was a teacher at the university and what was her level of education . One of the question she is asked is who selected land 250 kanal to set up Al-Qadir University in Jehlum.

NAB also wants to know from Mrs Bushra Imran Khan how Furrukh Gogi became her friend and if she was satisfied with her income level. Furrukh Gogi’s accumulative wealth in Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) rule is a big question mark on Imran Khan’s claims of a honest leader. Mrs Bushra has been asked to submit her response to the questionnaire in 10 days .

Some media reports suggest that NAB has collected some evidence of fund transactions in favour of the former first lady relating to Al-Qadir Trust University. Failure to satisfy NAB officials in her reply can change the status of Mrs Bushra from a witness to an accused. In such a case , NAB can file a reference against Imran Khan , Mrs Bushra Bibi and many other top PTI leaders in this case. Malik Riaz , who is a key character and major beneficiary in £ 190 million fraud , has not been summoned in this case. On NAB’s request , Bushra Bibi’s name has been placed on ECL.
