ISLAMABAD: June 20, 2023: The people will have only two official holidays June 29-30 to celebrate Eidul Azha this time . Usually, the government announces holiday on Hajj day but this time it took the decision otherwise. The government notification issued on Tuesday said those offices which work for 5 days a week will have only two holidays I e June 29 and 30 . However, those offices which work for six days a week will have additional holiday on July 1.
Shahbaz government was very generous as far as grant of holidays for the public was concerned. But it dropped the holiday on Hajj day from its list of public holiday. Since there is no holiday before the day of Eidul Azha , it will cause trouble for those whose families travel to other cities to celebrate Eidul Azha .
Pakistan is celebrating Eidul Azha on June 29.
