The affected officers of OGDCL have also questioned the role of the OGDCL board and called its endorsement of the company management policy of ignoring rightful officers with better experience and hiring of blue- eyed against salaries of millions of rupee as unlawful

OGDCL has literally turned into a centre of nepotism and a club of blue- eyed during the last around four years .

A gang of Pakistan Tehreek- e -Insaf (PTI) led by Asad Umar , right hand of ousted prime minister , Imran Khan ,managed to open a flood gate of hirings of its cronies at top positions of OGDCL against salaries of millions of rupees in each case .

Incumbent acting managing director , Khalid Subhani , welcomed every blue eyed of PTI gang to offer them senior positions without taking into account possible negative impact on the company of these illegal hirings .

Mr Subhani wanted to hang on acting managing director by appeasing Asad Umar & co by adjusting their cronies on hefty pay packages.

Interestingly, those who have been hired in OGDCL against the basic principle of merit do not match to those inhouse human resource which was denied the right of promotion through injecting hand picked blue- eyed .

A regular employee of general manager position of OGDCL having excellent
service record gets a salary of Rs 3 to 3.5 lakh lakhs a month whereas those who have been hired on senior positions like executive directors or general managers have been given a package of over Rs 2 million in each case . In some cases , those who had background of working with former companies of Asad Umar ( ENGRO or HUBCO ) have been hired against per month salary of Rs 2.5 million .

The role of OGDCL board in hiring of outsiders purely on political or other interest basis has also been questionable . It simply stamped the hirings no matter it came in violation of the company rules or it deprived the regularly employees of their basic right of promotions.

The affected group of OGDCL officers has pleaded before IHC to stop OGDCL management from hiring outsiders in violation of the company rules and ensure the regular employees get their right of promotions.
