Pak Media Journalists Forum holds international virtual conference on Pakistan’s independence day

ISLAMABAD: The Pak Media Journalists Forum International organized a grand international virtual conference titled “One Nation, One Voice” to mark Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day. The conference was attended by forum office-bearers from around the world, consuls general from various countries, federal and provincial ministers, prominent anchorpersons, intellectuals and overseas Pakistanis.

The conference was moderated by the forum’s General Secretary, Sheikh Ejaz Afzal.

Chairman Pak Media Journalists Forum International Chaudhry Noor-ul-Hassan Gujjar and President Dr Abdul Rehman Usama welcomed the participants and extended their Independence Day greetings. In their addresses, they emphasized the importance of national unity and solidarity and paid tribute to Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and the Government of Pakistan for their services in connection with the success of Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos, Pakistan-Saudi Arabia-Türkiye defence cooperation and efforts related to the Iran-US ceasefire.

Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, Gilgit-Baltistan Minister for Forests and Environment Raja Nasir Ali Khan, Overseas Pakistanis Foundation Chairman Syed Qamar Raza, Ambassador Dr Abid Nadeem Malik, Hazara University Vice Chancellor Dr Ikramullah Khan, Dr Majid-ul-Ghaffar, US politician Shazia Shah, Hina Lotus, PFUJ President Rana Azeem, former adviser Chaudhry Azhar Abbas Waraich, Pakistan Consul General in Manchester Imtiaz Feroz Gondal, Chairman of Tehreek-e-Haq-e-Khudadari Kashmir International Raja Najabat Hussain, senior anchorperson Javed Ghafari, and Chairman Jammu Kashmir Overseas Community Engineer Arif, among other speakers, also addressed the conference.

The speakers said that Independence Day serves as a reminder of the values of unity, sacrifice, national solidarity and love for the motherland. They stressed that overseas Pakistanis and Pakistani journalists abroad would continue playing their role in highlighting Pakistan’s positive, progressive and true image across the world.

The participants also expressed their resolve to celebrate national days with renewed enthusiasm and commitment in order to strengthen patriotism and a sense of attachment to Pakistan among the younger generation.

At the conclusion of the conference, participants reaffirmed their commitment to promoting the message of “One Nation, One Voice” and vowed to work collectively for Pakistan’s progress, prosperity, stability and security.
