Pakistan committed to provide security to foreign nationals : Foreign Office

Islamabad : April 19, 2024 : Pakistan ‘s Foreign Office on Friday issued a statement regarding a suicide attack on Japanese nationals in Karachi . It said two Pakistani nationals were killed today in a terrorist attack in Karachi’s Landhi area. Five Japanese nationals remained unhurt during the attack. Timely action by law enforcement agencies resulted in the death of two terrorists.

The Government of Pakistan strongly condemns this heinous act of terrorism. All necessary measures will be taken to bring the perpetrators to justice. Such dastardly acts only strengthen the resolve of the Government and the people of Pakistan to eliminate the scourge of terrorism.

Pakistan remains committed to ensuring the safety of foreign nationals residing in the country. We will continue to work with our international partners to fight terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.

A group of terrorists had tried to target Japanese nationals in Karachi on early morning . The police and security guards’ blitz resulted in killing of two suicide bombers and it also protected Japanese nationals unheart. Pakistan’s anti terror institutions are carrying out investigations in the terrorists act. Initial reports said suicide bomber has been identified as Sohail and he was a resident of Punjgor in Balochistan. The law enforcing agencies have made half a dozen arrears relating to Friday’s suicide attempt in Karachi.
