Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) : Embassy of Pakistan in Riyadh organized a simple flag-hoisting ceremony commemorating the 81st Pakistan Day celebrations.
The ceremony started with the recitation of the Holy Quran. After the flag hoisting ceremony and National Anthem, the messages of the President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan were read out to the audience. The Ambassador in his message congratulated Pakistanis on the occasion and stated that this day offers us an opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to the ideals of our founding fathers, especially Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Dr. Allama Muhammed Iqbal. He highlighted the sacrifices laid down by our founding fathers and reiterated the resolve of Pakistan’s leadership toward the country’s progress and prosperity. The Ambassador also congratulated Saudi government on effective management of Covid-19 pandemic and for the impressive vaccination drive underway in the kingdom. He reaffirmed that ties between the two countries will always remain on an upward trajectory. Availing of the opportunity, the Ambassador also highlighted the plight of Kashmiri people and reiterated Pakistan’s support to their struggle for right to self-determination against illegal Indian occupation.
