KARACHI : September 25,2022: Sunday’s T20 between Pakistan and England played at Karachi cricket stadium here was a full of suspense and drama.
After winning the toss, England put Pakistan to bat first .
Pakistan could make 163 runs off 20 over ,setting a target of 164 for England.
Rizwan played a great inning for Pakistan again. Despite poor and slow batting of the captain , Babar Azam, Rizwan maintained a reasonable run rate of over 8 runs per over and made 89 runs.
Shan Masood came to join Rizwan after Babar Azam, but he could not make a good show and got out when his individual score was 26.
Asif’s two big 6s in the last over helped Pakistan put a total of 163 runs on the board .
Pakistan made good show of bowling . It trimmed two big wickets of England in the first two over which put pressure on England side.
Then England side managed to recover and it got pace to get the target but Moeen who was played confidently got bold on a slow ball .
England had almost clinched victory by hitting 30 runs in one over of Hussnain and it needed just 9 runs in last two overs. It looked an easy task for England, but Haris turned the table on England by sending its two well set bats to the pavilion .
The real drama happened in the last over. England needed only 4 runs and its last pair was on the crease . The bowler started the last over . England needed 4:runs to win whereas Pakistan needed one wicket . The fans in the stands were expecting some miracle to see Pakistan winning the match . This miracle occured when England lost its last wicket. Its bat out on the crease remained short of the crease in a bid to take a quick run.
