ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Saturday hosted a very important meeting of intelligece chiefs of 7 countries. The countries whose intelligece chiefs participated in the important meeting to discuss the Afghanistan situation included Russia, China, Iran, Tajkistan, Uzbekistan, Auzerbijan and Turkmanistan. Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) director general Lt General, Faiz Hameed hosted Saturday’s sitting of intelligence chiefs here in Islamabad.
Pakistan has emerged as a hub of diplomatic activities in recent days for discussion on Afghanistan situation. Top diplomats and government functionaries of many countries visited Islamabad to discuss situation and possible future scenario of Afghanistan
with Pakistan’s political and military leadership in the last couple of weeks .
Sources said Saturday ‘s meeting of intelligence chiefs focused on working a joint intelligence sharing mechanism to have a joint strategy on Afghanistan.
