ISLAMABAD; An Afghan Taliban delegation , headed by Mulla Bradar, has arrived in Islamabad on the invitation of Foreign Minister, Shah Mahmood Qureshi for an important round of talks on Afghan peace process. Shah Mahmood Qureshi, had invited Afghan Taliban leaders for review of the progress made so for on Afghan peace deal.Foreign Office’s spokesman, Zahid Chaudhari, had confirmed to the media on August 23, 2020 that Taliban delegation is coming to Islamabad from Doha for talks with Pakistani authorities ON Afghanistan related issues.Pakistan is brokering a deal between Afghan Taliban and Afghan government for ensuring lasting peace in Afghanistan, which will also provide an outlet for US forces’ exit from that war-devastated country. US is also actively following Afghan peace deal among all the stakeholders for securing a safe exit for its forces from Afghanistan Many important regional and international players are also working closely with Kabul for bringing peace in that troubled country. Pakistan’s Foreign Office said Pakistan will discuss with visiting Taliban delegation progress made so for on Afghan peace process. Taliban have held many rounds of talks with Afghan government and US officials in Doha and they had reached to a deal some times back for bringing durable peace in Afghanistan. Qatar, being an important player of the Middle East, is facilitating Afghan peace deal. Afghan Taliban delegation’s arrival in Islamabad soon after Pakistan’s Foreign Minister’s visit to Beijing has extra ordinary significance. Col (R) Ali Mir sees a big development in talks when visiting Afghan delegation will come across with Foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi for talks on Afghanistan related issues. “It’s a good development that Taliban’s delegation is coming to Islamabad for important round of talks for finding some ways for ensuring peace in that country”, Ali Mir asserted in his comments
