ISLAMABAD: Pakistan is gearing up to extend every possible help to Afghan people in these challenging times. It sent three C 130 aeroplanes, carrying food and medicines for the people of Afghanistan.
Pakistan also announced on Wednesday that it is sending more assistance to Afghan people via land route in coming days.
Pakistan’s Foreign Office ( FO) spokesman, Asim Iftikhar, warned the world community of a looming human crisis if it did not act now to help Afghan people who were in dire need of food, medicines and other necessities.
Afghanistan has been literally turned into ruins by prolonged war and now Taliban are looking for global assistance to start up reconstruction work in that war- torn country.
Pakistan’s Foreign minister, Shah Mahmood Qureshi , also highlighted urgency in helping the new government to avert imminent human crisis in Afghanistan. Mr Qureshi told a private TV channel show that Pakistan was seriously worried about crisis like situation in Afghanistan as Taliban have no financial support to start rehablitation and reconstruction of war ravaged Afghanistan.
He said Pakistan can not stay indifferent when Afghan brothern need its help.
Pakistan is also urging upon the United States to defreaze Afghanistan’s foreign accounts having $ 10 billion to ease its roaring financial crisis. White House had slapped restrictions on Afghanistan soon after fall of that country to Taliban and seized its foreign accounts . It put Afghan government in difficult position.
