RAWALPINDI : Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General, Major General Iftikhar Babar, on Thursday said India violated Pakistan’s air space on March 9, and fired a super sonic unarmed missile. He said India violated Pakistan’s air space to provoke Islamabad for triggering some untoward events . The ISPR chief , however, announced that Pakistan will show restraints to avoid any provocation over the incident . Pakistan had shot down the missile fired by India on March 9, 2022.
According to the ISPR chief , the Indian object remained in Pakistan’s air space for 3 minutes and 26 second when it was shot down near Mian Chanu by Pakistan Air Force (PAF).. The director general ISPR warned India to desist from taking provoking act against Pakistan.
He said Pakistan will raise the issue at the international fora.
ISPR chief clarified in response to a question that the armed forces have nothing to do with politics and suggested to the media persons not to discuss an irrelevant topic at this forum. He also clarified that army chief, Qamar Javed Bajwa, and Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) chief , general Nadeem Babar , were not scheduled to visit the United States (US) any time in the near future.
